The Rockhouse Ranch is unique in that it is where Buck Creek merges with the North Wichita River. This fork of the Wichita runs through the middle of the ranch for approximately 1.5 miles, and while it flows only seasonally, attracts wildlife year around. Its sandy bed stays covered with game tracks, providing evidence of an abundance of deer, hog, and turkey on the ranch.
Over time, the North Wichita has cut a large bluff, in some areas 35'-40' tall. This river/creek bottom forms a wide valley and creates a scenic setting from almost anywhere on the property.

The main entrance is on the south side, off of a county-maintained road. A short driveway takes you to the ranch headquarters, where a 3BD/2BTH cabin, 2BD bunkhouse, and large metal hay shed sit.
